Design Your Move

A move is not just a change of address
It is an invitation to design your home with beauty and wellness at the center.

Five Powerful Opportunities with Every Move

Relieve the stress and make your space a home.

01

Think differently about design

Design is a foundation for health and wellbeing — not just aesthetics. Your home works on your nervous system every moment you are in it. This is your opportunity to make it work for you.

02

Honor what you already own

Your existing furnishings and art tell your story. Rather than starting from scratch, we envision how what you love will look and function in your new space.

03

Choose wisely what's new

When new pieces are needed, we select finishes and materials that are healthy for you and the environment — chosen through direct experience, never from a catalog.

04

Support your body's natural rhythms

Lighting and window coverings that work with your circadian biology. Spaces that restore rather than deplete. Design that understands how your body experiences a home.

05

Create a personal style that evolves

Rooted in your story, not in trends that expire. A home that reflects who you are — and grows with you over time.

The Process

STEP 1

The New Home Consultation

We begin in your new space before you move in. Together we walk through every room — assessing flow, natural light, architectural details, and opportunities. I document what drraws the eye, what feels right, and what needs attention. We discuss your vision and begin building a plan.

STEP 2

The Existing Home Consultation

Next we spend time in your current home. I inventory your significant furniture and art — taking note of what you love, what you’ve tolerated, and what you’ve always wanted to change. Together, we decide what comes with you, what gets left behind, and what gaps need filling.

STEP 3

Your Moving Strategy

From these two consultations I develop your moving strategy: a room-by-room floor plan your movers can follow, recommendations for finishes and paint colors to address before move-in, and a priorities list for future projects so you have a clear vision from day one.

Arrival & Guidance After You’re Moved

STEP 4

Once you’re in, we spend two half-days together — hanging art, arranging furniture, and making the adjustments that turn a new space into your home. This is hands-on guidance, not guesswork.

Living In & Looking Ahead

STEP 5

Good design takes time. I always advise clients to live into their new spaces before making major decisions. As the space reveals itself to you, follow-up consultations are available — and for many clients, Design Your Move becomes the beginning of a longer design relationship.
